Team captain of the Pearl Bowlers of Paranaque, PBAP, Lara Posadas not only led the team to a Gold medal in ther team event but became the most bemedaled bowler of the 17th National Youth Championship held at Bowling Inn. Lara , Roto Grip Staff, used a combination of the Mutant Cell, Cell, and Cell pearl to conquer the lanes as she averaged 217 over 18 games to run away with the Gold in the Girls All Events. Alexis Sy of TBAM averaged 207 to take the silver, while Kim Lao, Prima, took the bronze with a 197 average.

Posadas took home two more gold in the singles and team event. After a slow start, Lara and her team mates stormed back to win the gold in the team event under the guidance of their coach, Apple Posadas, Lara’s older sister. Lara led the team with a 1315 series for six games. Anne Ramirez contributed with a 1159 series, while Niqui Bernabe rolled a 1078 and Anne Marie Kiac finished with a 1070 series. Their total of 4622 gave them the championship ahead of Prima’s 4481 and Tbam’s 4428 who finished silver and bronze respectively.

In the singles event Lara again dominated with a 1193 series to capture her third gold ahead of Alexis Sy, 1119, and Liza Vicente, 1112. Team mates Anne Ramirez, 1104, and Anne Marie Kiac, 1102, finished fourth and fifth respectively. Niqui Bernabe finished in eight position with a 1076 series. Niqui and Lara combined for a 2515 series in the doubles event to finish with a silver medal. Posadas rolled a 1410 series and Bernabe contributed a 1105 to finish behind Gold Medallist Alexis Sy and Madeline Llamas of TBAM, who shot a 2600 series. Rachelle Leon and Kim Lao took home the Bronze medal with a 2490 series. Anne Marie and Anne rolled a 1201 and 1074 series respectively as they finished in sixth place with a 2275 series.

Lara and Niqui finished in third and fourth place in the Girls masters as they lost their match to Kim and Alexis respectively. Posadas shot a 2466 series for 12 games while Bernabe shot a 2421 series. In the shoot out, no.1 seed Sy defeated Bernabe 268 to 183, while no.2 seed Lao defeated Posadas 208 to 192. Kim beat Alexis 223 to 195 in the all Cebuanas final to finish Gold and Silver.  Through the leadership and dominating performance of Lara Posadas, PBAP was able to win the over all Girls cup.
